Psychological, Relational, and Intergenerational Influences on Prenatal Connection

A mother’s or parent’s ability to develop deep emotional bonding with their unborn can be influenced by a number of factors such as their own difficult birth experience, adversities in childhood, a difficult mother relationship or even trauma in previous generations.
This module looks at these aspects and Clara will show ways in which their impact can be mitigated. We will hear about:

Preparing for Birth Together - Preparing for Life Together

In this final course module, Clara will provide an overview of the practical side of prenatal bonding. We will learn:
- what a prenatal bonding session looks like

- what father/non-pregnant caregiver’s involvement can look like

- examples of practices for continuing bonding and attachment support after birth
