Integrating Birth: Closing Rituals for the Postpartum Journey

Birth is not only the arrival of a baby, but also the birth of a mother — a profound transformation that continues long after the baby is born. In this talk, Daia Brunetto will introduce us to the wisdom and healing power of the the Closing the Bones Ceremony and the importance of rites and ceremonies in the integration of birth experiences.  Daia will weave stories and reflections on the postpartum journey, the transition from maiden to mother (or mother once again), and how ritual can support grounding, nourishment, emotional integration, and energetic closure after childbirth.

Participants are warmly invited to bring an object or symbolic item connected to their birth or postpartum journey so that this Virtual Postpartum Spiral can feel like a shared and living space — a gentle gathering where everyone is invited not only to listen, but also to reflect, witness, and be witnessed in their own journeys.
