HOW TO HANDLE THEM NATURALLY

Nowadays nearly all breech babies are born via C-section. While the safety of mum and baby is certainly a concern in these situations, there is a natural alternative.

UK based midwife Jane Evans, together with Mary Cronk MBE and another midwife, started offering study days on upright/kneeling breech births in the early 2000’s. She also authored a book about the subject for AIMS.
After the NHS shut everything down for vaginal breech birth, Jane and other independent midwives still felt very strongly that they must keep their skills alive because 1/3 of breech babies are undiagnosed until labour.

In this presentation, Jane explains some of the skills needed to birth a breech baby safely and why these skills are so desperately needed in a world of such a common occurrence of surgical births.
