The Initiation of a Birth Keeper

An Intimate Journey into
Sacred Service

with Daia Brunetto
This talk was recorded in April 2026.
In this talk, Daia Brunetto shares the deeply personal journey that led her to devote her life to mothers and babies. Daia says: “There was a time when I felt lost — disconnected from my purpose, navigating separation, and questioning my path as a naturologist and newly practising doula. In that space of uncertainty, I prayed for guidance. What followed was a mystical dream — an initiation — where I was guided to a sacred well known as the Fountain of Life. Emerging from it, I carried an unshakable knowing: I am here to serve women at the portal of birth.”

Daia speaks about birth as a rite of passage — a moment of death and rebirth, of surrender and transformation. She shares how her work weaves together nature, ritual, spirituality, and embodied care to support women in reconnecting with their inner wisdom. Daia  also talks about what she offers to mothers and birth workers in her community, and how we can tend to the beginning of life with reverence, strength, and deep remembrance.
