Healing the Mother Wound

The first human relationship we enter is that with our mother. She is our very first physical and emotional environment, our first experience of life, survival and bonding. The quality of that relationship shapes all subsequent relationships and how we relate to Life itself.

The onus of the mother towards the child is big and depending on what she went through in her own life, our bond with her may have got momentarily or even severely interrupted. Yet, together with our father she is the one who gave us life and that recognition on the soul level is fundamental for our own well-being.

When our relationship with our mother has suffered disruptions, we may, for example, feel a lack of vital energy, experience struggles with intimacy or unconsciously sabotage our own success in life.

Taking our mother into our heart, no matter what she is or was like, is a deep inner movement that has the potential to lead us towards true vitality, more balanced relationships, material flow and the integration of the feminine. 

In this workshop, Nir Esterman will guide us through individual exercises and group constellations as steps towards healing the ‘Mother Wound’ in us.

constellation work

Systemic or Constellation Work is based on the Family Constellation approach developed by Bert Hellinger. It is a method for revealing and healing the relationship dynamics within any kind of personal, family or group system.

During a constellation, we hold space for ourselves and the other participants. Together, we connect and bring to life what was in a way that supports what can be. Constellations offer a deep, often transformative healing movement of reconciliation that takes us closer to our potential for a vital and present life.

What comes up in a constellation is based on the imprints that are left of what happened to us and to previous generations in our family system. During the constellation process, we learn to acknowledge the perspectives of all involved and add resources where needed so that integration and closure become possible.

Nir Esterman

Nir is a teacher and facilitator of Family/Systemic Constellations and Embodied Shadow Work. He is the developer of the Shadow Constellations approach.

Nir works with groups and individuals across the world and presents in international conferences.
