Healing the Father Wound

With Nir Esterman
Sunday, 1 November 2026 at 14h-17h30 UK time
Half of you we are stems from our father and his lineage.  Together with our mother, he gave us life, irrespective of the circumstances or what followed our conception. From the perspective of systemic work, the mother represents the beginning, nourishment, and inner success while the father stands for the strength to go out into the world, career, focus, the ability to set boundaries, security, and professional fulfillment.

When we inwardly reject our father by criticising, judging or excluding him, we unconsciously reject ‘half’ of our own life and life force. This may show up as a lack of self-confidence, struggles with authority, the need for approval and validation, difficulties with decision making, fear of confrontation and generally not quite finding our purpose in life.

In a family constellation, taking the father into our heart is a deep inner movement on the ‘soul’ level. We do not focus on what our father is or was like or how he parented us, we simply take Life as it came through him, recognising that he is or was the right one for us. We acknowledge that we are the child and he is the parent and we leave his burdens with him.

In this workshop, Nir Esterman will guide us through individual exercises and group constellations as steps towards healing the ‘Father Wound’ in us.

constellation work

Systemic or Constellation Work is based on the Family Constellation approach developed by Bert Hellinger. It is a method for revealing and healing the relationship dynamics within any kind of personal, family or group system.

During a constellation, we hold space for ourselves and the other participants. Together, we connect and bring to life what was in a way that supports what can be. Constellations offer a deep, often transformative healing movement of reconciliation that takes us closer to our potential for a vital and present life.

What comes up in a constellation is based on the imprints that are left of what happened to us and to previous generations in our family system. During the constellation process, we learn to acknowledge the perspectives of all involved and add resources where needed so that integration and closure become possible.
