TWIN LOSS II

with Karlton Terry
As first pregnancies happen increasingly later in life and the number of IVF’s grow, twin loss, or ‘twin reabsorption’ as it is medically labelled, is becoming more common. This, however, does not necessarily mean that the loss of a twin is a known fact for the family.

How can we, then, recognise the implicit memories present in the psyche of an infant, child or adult which point to the experience of twin loss? What does something like ‘twin seeking’ look like in a person’s behaviour? And what are possible protocols to help them address their twin loss issues and their longing for resolution?
And finally, many of us are realising we have twin loss issues ourselves. What are ways for us to be with these memories and to soften the grip this trauma holds?

In this second Twin Loss class, we will look into these and other questions in a compassionate exploration which can help us escape the manacles of unresolved twin loss in order to become liberated from the ways in which our lives have been diminished.
